Bleachers Take The Sadness Out Of Saturday Night

Jack Antonoff is either one lucky son of a gun, extremely talented, or both. Probably more the latter and a healthy dose of the former. He writes big songs, collaborates with living legends like The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, and has produced hits for Taylor Swift, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, and Sara Bareilles. His songs are epic and vaguely nostalgic. Bleachers bridges the gap between Disclosure and Arcade Fire as the soundtrack to a John Hughes film.

Big songs without pretense or inadvertant clichés which sinch off typical pop songs into a time capsule let Bleachers’ epic hooks roam free into the sunset of instant classic terrain. That vague familiarity mixed with ambiguous consternation is what makes Antonoff’s music so salient.

Bleachers’ third studio album, Take the Sadness Out Of Saturday Night, will be released via RCA Records on July 30 – pre-order it here.
